<p><b>Location: Abuja</b></p><p><b>JOB DESCRIPTION</b></p><ul><li>The Grant Writer provides a critical component for non-profits who provide all&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">manner of Services to Society.</span></li><li>Responsible for finding funding opportunities for an organization and writing&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">polished proposals to earn grant money.</span></li><li>Support partners to manage all aspects of the project cycle including planning,&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">implementation, and monitoring.</span></li><li>Ensure all project documentation and reports are produced on time.</li><li>Coordinate with partners for timely submission of quarterly reports</li><li>A Grant Writer is an essential component for the smooth functioning of almost all non-profit&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">agencies even though its impact on the outside observer is subtle and hidden</span></li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Duties &amp;amp; Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Assist partners and involve with them to conduct workshops and conferences.</li><li>Support the Project Manager to prepare periodic project reports based on&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">accurate and evidence-based data/information</span></li><li>Write grants based on corporate guidelines and priorities.</li><li>Search potential funding organizations and identify possible grant opportunities.</li><li>Work with grant team to complete assigned tasks within the deadlines.</li><li>Organize regular grant meetings to discuss updates, issues, and&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">recommendations.</span></li><li>Assist in preparing budget for grant application.</li><li>Write grant proposals and ensure error-free grant submission.</li><li>Maintain grant application database for future reference purposes</li><li>Prepare grant applications, proposals, correspondence, and other documents for new&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">and existing funders.</span></li></ul><p><b>SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS</b></p><ul><li>University Degree in relevant field (Social Sciences, Development Studies,&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">Community Development or Project Management).</span></li><li>Minimum of 5 years working experience, ideally in an NGO or well-acknowledged&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">NGO, having experience of working with government partners and project&nbsp;</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">fund/grant management.</span></li><li>Experience on all aspects of project management.</li><li>Strong data collection and collation skills, processing, analysis, and report&nbsp;<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">writing.</span></li><li>Salary plus commission available.</li><li>Applicant must pass a background check which includes providing 3 Guarantors and 3 Referees</li></ul><p><b>NB: Our background checks are rigorous and invasive, therefore, candidates who are</b></p><p><b>not able to meet up with the background check requirement should not bother</b></p><p><b>applying.</b></p>
